A multi player game? That sounds like it could be a step up from the trivia games we have now. But for MIB.

Multiplayer Trivia? Oh boy.

They better port over all the existing extras at least.

I don't own "Men in Black" on DVD, so I think I'll hold for the BD release. I own "Men in Black II", however.

Those will most likely be reserved for the Blu-ray Superbit Ultra release.

Personally, I don't really give a shit about these "Live" features. They were of no importance to me on HD-DVD and I will most likely not access them on BD.

Just give me:

HQ Encode
High Definition Audio
Existing Extras
New Extras

All on a 50gb Disc.

Is that too much to fucking ask for?

Frank the Pug Advice Generator?

If, for some reason, I want to put on some diapers and cram my mouth full of lollipops and play with a Fisher-Price mock-up of a blue-colored HD player at Toys-R-Us...I'll do that.

Otherwise, let's just bring on an exceptional movie transfer and use the CAPACITY the Blu-ray Gods gave us.

I have the MIB LE black box. Does the Deluxe Edition trump the content? I'm pondering an upgrade as I doubt Sony will cheap out on porting the original extras for what is probably considered a well selling catalogue title.

I don't think there's been a single catalog title where the Blu-ray/HD DVD had more features than the DVD.

I would think the PIP commentaries like on the Bourne movies on HD-DVD would constitute as more content as the standard DVD. They also have all of the extras. Batman Begins also comes to mind as having more.

Sony has been doing a reasonable job. But, I wouldn't be surprised if this is a barebones release. Most of the studios appear to be grudgingly putting out HD releases that beg for an SE later. Hedging their bets that the market for BR will open up... or maybe that the specs will be finalized.

I loved my LE box set. I don't think the Deluxe edition had anything over it, it was simply standard packaging.

You must not have thought too hard then. Gattaca is one, off the top of my head.

Sony has been pretty good about porting over extras lately. MIB is a fairly short movie at 98 minutes, so provided they give it a BD-50 they should be able to put them all on one disc.

I like Men in Black but as people have said I would take Ghostbusters and/or Leon over it any day of the week. And Lawrence of Arabia.

If you remember back to the early days of DVD, this was a title that was held back for a larger user base because of Spielberg being the executive producer. Hopefully this is another (CEOTTK) sign of more Spielberg produced and directed titles to hit the market in the coming year.
