I know. This could have been posted in the HD DVD Clearance thread, but since it's a new release, I thought it deserved it's own thread. I was pissed when I saw that this had dropped. I had just done the WB B2G1 sale just to get this at a decent price. Now I see that I could have waited and got just this. Great price -- even though it could come down in the future with all the clearance sales.

I'm watching the movie on BD right now, but if I like it enough, I just might order the HD DVD at that price.

I've got this on a Amazon.com order - but seeing that it LACKS a considerable amount of Special Features - ie - making off - I'm now siding on just dropping it and waiting for a cheapy SD version.

i find it rather amusing that the promos for this film i'm seeing on tv are decaring "buy it on DVD and blu-ray!" No mention of HD DVD at all. you'd think they would at least try to get a few sales out of it.

this is $18.44 now at DDD

They also have Bonnie and Clyde up now for 4/15 release :)

If you look closely though, the HD-DVD is pictured between the Blu Ray and Regular DVD even though there is no mention of it.

The BD version is now $18.96 at Amazon as well.

I cancelled the HD-DVD and ordered the Blu-ray. Saved 4 cents too!

Thanks so much for the info on the blu ray. I was seriously considering the HD dvd for that price but there is no way I can pass up having it on blu ray for the same price. I have gotten so much information on this forum. I can't begin to thank everyone.

Best Buy Canada has a three disc BR version, which includes a "Making of ..." featurette and Future Shop has a two disc steelbook in BR.

Look more closely ... the extras on the HD-DVD edition are on the SD side of the disc. :(

Did anyone get their "I Am Legend" pre-order today? I ordered it from Warner H/V with their B2G1 sale and it still hasn't even shipped. I placed the order over a month ago and their policy says that if you order at least 10 days from the release date, you should get it on the release date.

Called and they're looking into it, but they were perplexed by why it hadn't shipped. Was their an unannounced release date delay (or, please no..., a cancellation) for the HD DVD?

i got an amazon shipping notice for my HD-DVD yesterday, so it still exists :)

I can also confirm that it still exists. I saw copies of it at Future Shop, Best Buy, and HMV today.

Glad to hear that it exists. Now just onto the issue of why the f'n thing didn't ship when I ordered it directly from Warner.

Warner. Ahhhh, yes. Fucktardville with a rather large population. That's why I won't order from them ever again. You'd have a better chance of Sony announcing they're scrapping Blu-ray and going HD DVD, than expect something on-time from WB.

Yes, the Blu-Ray/DVD release came out last month. The HD DVD came out today.

Apparently Future Shop now has it for $17.95 in Canada I think, if any Canucks are looking for it.
