I'm new to the HD-DVD format. Are these Region 1 discs?

HD-DVDs have no regions.

Any good source for single and double-disc HD-DVD cases? I could use 5 for my Hollywood video discs.

I did not know that. Thank you.

On the cases, eBay might be an option.

I'm a newbie to importing anything. Is there a link or some general info on how to make purchases from overseas? I'm interested in picking up some HD-DVDs, but the whole procedure sounds harder then it is. Is it?

Thanks for any info.

No different than ordering from anywhere else. Just make an account, put in your credit card and they send you the goods.

The only difference is that sometimes you have to pay customs, however I have never had that happen, so I'm not sure how that works.

Ordered The Game and Terminator 2 from Ezydvd -- from my calculation will cost about $21.15 US total. Not bad. T2 isn't even available in the States is it?

Hope they come. The site was slow so I think word may be spreading for those trying to get in on the deal.

Also am worried about the fact that they won't be getting them until 3/28. Wonder if they'll actually get them in or if the state of HD DVD will cause the manufacturers not to ship them.

I found some on ebay with HD DVD logo. $1.32/ea shipped when purchased in quantity of 10. Want to split an order with me? Maybe get 20 and split amongst 3 people? I'm sure there are a buch of folks here who'd like some...

I bought 10 of them at Fry's for around $12. I don't know where to get a double one though. I need one for my Zodiac set.

So have you ordered from Ezydvd before? Are they pretty reliable?

No Fry's within 800 miles or so of me...

I've looked everywhere for doubles, they don't seem to be available to the aftermarket. Next best solution is a double Amaray, but you already have one of those.

? Is Fry's having an unadvertised sale right now? They have 30 or so Universal titles art $14.99, but all are available at Amazon for the same price.

GizmoDVD, we're referring to replacement cases (to house our HV purchases).

I don't know why I feel the need to buy T2 in every iteration of every format, but I do.

Yep. I have 3 SD DVD versions of T2 and the BR as well. I think I even have it on laserdisc.

Might as well go ebaying for the HD-DVD version.....!

i keep hoping for some kind of sale that could get me Zodiac, the Bourne Supremacy and Face/Off for less than $15 a piece. nothing yet though. i strongly prefer to get them new (and my HV has squat anyway). hopefully something will come up soon.

Not a bad price, might just do that!

You got me on the UMD version, and I don't think I even have it on VHS.

Same here! However, I feel the BD is a step back because it'd not the extended cut, so I want to import the UK/French one.

btw, has anyone bothered to check which version of T2 that is on ezDVD? I think it's only listed as 131 minutes. That's actually less than the theatrical, isn't it?

So no one knows why the EZ DVD site has 3/28 as the date?

Also, do they charge CC right away or when items ship?

OK I was in my local HV on Friday night, and they claimed they hadn't heard about the HD DVD sale and wouldn't sell me any.

Went back today to check, they're almost all gone. What assholes, I'll never step foot in there again.

Yup, that's why I didn't order it. Theatrical runtime was 137 minutes. So who knows what you're getting with this release...

When the item ships, as the site states. Also, a few posts above yours, it lists why they are pre-order.
