Shipping murders the deal.

Yes it does. Does anyone know if this applies to in-store purchases?

Shipping is too expensive if you're only ordering 1-2 items. But if you're ordering a couple items, it's not too bad. In the past I've gotten 11 HD discs in one order, and the shipping was under $7.

Those are the same prices at the instore price at the SJ store at Brokaw. I picked up Road Warrior weeks ago at the price that is listed on the site.

This will be in store tomorrow I'm sure. No interest in any of them though...we'll see. I may cave and buy 1.

Yep, they're in store. BTW, I figured that even though the discs are cheaper than at Best Buy (24.99 there), the B2G1F deal at Best Buy next week amounts to the same thing.

$16.96 * 3 = 50.88. $24.99 * 2 = 49.98. So, choose your store, it's roughly the same price if you're buying in 3s.

Now, if you get Bestbuy to price match Fry's and honor their own B2G1F, you have decent deal.

What if you buy 3 of the titles mentioned in the Fry's ad at full retail at Best Buy, thus getting the B2G1, then go to customer service and price match the ad?

So 2 x $29.99 = $59.98 + tax (for me it's 8.25%) = $64.92 (+1 free HD DVD title)

Price match with Fry's Ad:

2 x $16.99 = $33.98 + (tax $2.80) = $36.78 - 10% difference ($2.60) = $34.18 (or thereabouts)

All in all, 3 titles for about $11.40 each.

YMMV... it would be cool if it worked, but most BBs I've tried stuff like that it don't honor multiple discounts on the same thing. And when you do B2G1F, they'll probably all show as reduced price on the receipt, rather than 1 showing free.

Still, worth a try!

They usually show a .00 disk for me at BB. Fry's usually averages it out over the disks.

That's how it rang up when I purchased Shaun of the Dead, The Bourne Supremacy and Casino. Then, I went to customer service and pricematched the receipt with the Fry's ad.

All in all, three titles for about $11.68 ea.

Still, YMMV.
