Walmart Secret Sale 11/24 PS3 with 10+5 Movies

I saw a posting on a site that said the PS3 80GB will be part of the 11/24 secret sale at 499 with 10 movies you pick from in store under 30.00 plus the 5 free thru the mail in rebate. That may just convince me to invest in a PS3 to get the Blu-Ray player and game system.

I'd be sold if it were the $399 model, but still a damn nice deal.

Eh. Wal-Marts Blu-ray selection is pretty pathetic I'd have a hard time choosing more then 2. Nice deal. Too bad the PS3 is being recognized again as the Blu-ray player and not as a game machine.

Who cares what it is recognized at? This is a good deal for those that don't have a PS3. I wuld much rather have the 80gb model than the 40gb model. I have two 60gb models but if I was shopping for another one this would be the deal. Wal-mart is getting better at carrying more and more Blu-Rays.

If you like PS2 games, get a 60GB. The 80GB uses software emulation and does not play 100% of PS2 games.

Good deal but I'm drained between getting HD-DVD and just other presents already. I'd be perfectly happy if a stand alone BR player was $250 or so. If that kind of deal comes around this time next year, I'll be in.

Wow, so you get a PS3, 15 movies and a game for 499.00. Not a bad deal at all. Hopefully Walmart has enough BDs in stock for a deal like this. I'd hate for someone to actually get stuck with some shit like Delta Farce.

I bought the A2 for a gift last "secret sale" ...the WM where I got it from had no HD DVDs a couple days before the sale, but had about 20 HD DVDs the day of the sale. So I think they'll probably add a bunch of BD's for Black Friday, but probably nothing we haven't already seen on any of the Amazon deals.

My local Wal-Mart better get more Blu-Rays in stock before the sale. They probably only have 200-300 total discs on the shelves.

At first i was excited for this, then i thought of wal-marts selection. Then i thought of how much of a pain in the ass it would be trying to get one. Then i decided not to even bother.

If amazon does this then i'd be all over it.

Has this actually been confirmed to be true? I spoke with someone who I can trust and this person said that there was never a mention of this sale taking place at Wal-Mart. Now this person could be wrong but I trust what I was told.

Oh come on. Everyone needs to behold Night at the Museum in all its 1080p glory.

another awesome deal. I wish I didn't buy my PS3 on day 1. Oh wait...I got it free after selling it on ebay last year hahaha.

Anyway, can't you just pick up any movies and exchange it a week later for something else?

I think it will be okay...my guess is that they'll have about 4-5 PS3 in stock...and usually about 4-5 movies in stock per titles. Blu-Ray shoppers usually buy from Amazon, Frys, or Best Buy I have never purchased an electronic from Walmart before...unless they have BOGO

This sale has been confirmed by a high level employee of Wal-Mart on another forum. Each Wal-Mart will be getting in additional stocks of Blu-rays for sufficient inventory for this sale. Any ten bd's that Wal-Mart has in stock under $30 each(which basically means all bds aside from boxsets) can be picked plus the five free by mail in rebate.

Well, I hope you're right but it has been denied by another high level employee that I trust. Maybe this person overlooked this particular sale so anything is possible. I hope this sale is true since my father-in-law is ready to jump on a PS3.

Edit: My source did find out that this sale is going on. It supposedly will go down at 5:00 a.m. Saturday. Thanks OP for letting us know about this bargain!

so couldn't i just print out the walmart screen or take the ad to say best buy and have them match it, so that i could get a wider selection of movies to choose from?

And if this is anything like the HD-DVD/A2 sale from a few weeks ago, selection and any availability at all will be scattershot. That Wal-Mart can't get product for these promotions to all their stores (hell, even just the Superstores) is confusing and frustrating for people trying to participate in the sale.

You couldn't give me $499 to go near a WalMart on 11/24.

You do realize that 11/24 is Saturday, not Black Friday?
