I went to Best Buy and Circuit city. Neither one had the Ocean's set in HD DVD or Shrek 3 HD DVD. I sort of wanted to do an impulse buy on at least Shrek today and watch it while I was off. Haven't seen it yet.

And also I picked up my first Blu Ray player a Panasonic BD30 at Circuit City with my father who is giving it to me after Christmas. Also picked up the Blu Ray Close Encounters set. NICE booklet and retro packaging.

So anyway, I can't have the player until after Christmas when I get back from my China vacation. Can I make it not seeing Close Encounters in HD for nearly 2 months!?!?!!?

I saw plent of Shrek HD DVDs, but the Oceans Trilogy HD DVD is rare: I didn't see it in any stores, it's on backorder at Deep Discount, and Amazon lists it as shipping in 5 to 7 weeks. Great.

Was just at Best Buy and saw plenty of Shrek 3's and Ocean 13's in both formats but no box set in sight.

Tenleytown DC location had the Bluray box sets of the Ocean's Trilogy, but not the HD-DVD box set. Also had a number of copies of Shrek 3 in HD.

One of the Best Buys I visited had some of the Bluray box sets of the Ocean's Trilogy, but never got the HD DVD. I think it's part of a vast Bluray conspiracy (just kidding, folks). It does suck, though.

I just saw Shrek at Target while buying light bulbs. Then I had second thoughts about a $30 impulse buy.

I saw both at Wally World (Wal Mart) of all places...

If anyone is interested the Clinton store in MD has about 3 Oceans sets of Red & Blue each.

I guess Warner Brothers is still having distribution issues with their titles.

Can you post pics of the Trilogy box set? Is it just three standard cases housed in a box with a slipcover, or more elaborate?

I'd like to know this as well. I saw it at Best Buy today, but it was a complete box, so I couldn't tell what was on the inside.

Saw multiple stores (BB, WM, FS) up here with both BR & HD DVD copies of the Oceans pack today. They were all around C$65 at all 3 stores. Lots of HD DVD Shrek around too.

Pardon my French, but Amazon hasn't shipped mine yet and I also pre-ordered it.

I have a Canadian box, but here's what's in it:

- Added back-insert page with bilingual text added.
- Box Slipcover (same info as above in English only)
- Cardboard Box fits the 3 HD DVD cases.
- Ocean's Eleven HD DVD
- Ocean's Twelve HD DVD
- Ocean's Thirteen HD DVD Combo Disk
- 1 WB wbhighdef.ca promo sheet (which is included again in Ocean's Thirteen).
- No other printed matter was included in any cases.

Oh, forgot to mention... all of the individual HD DVD case sleeves are bilingual front & back on this version.

(Minus the Canadien stuff), pretty much the same for the BD box set, except obviously no combo for Ocean's 13. One thing though, the front of the box slip cover says "Hi-Def Picture" "Hi-Def Sound", only the audio for all 3 is Dolby Digital, thanks a lot Warner.

Since I haven't seen anyone else say it, you may want to take advantage of the current BOGO sales going on. In the past, sales after Christmas have been pretty slim. It seems that stores expect people will use the GCs they got as gifts right away and they take advantage of that by keeping prices high through January.

So what the deal with it being difficult to find the HD set? I could pick either one, but I want the HD one because of the combo disc and well, the box colors match better. had the guy at Best Buy look it up and not one of the 6 Best Buys in my area had it in HD. 4-6 Blu's at each tho. Strange. Walmart online has it cheaper and ships to store. But thats no guarentee that when i order it it wont turn up back ordered. Crap.

Gotta agree that the FYE after PayPal/ rebate deal is great for HD. All 3 HD movies for $38 with tax/shipping/coupons/rebates applied.

I've heard it's bad to buy anything from FYE, period...at least from the website.

Really? I've done at least 10 things with them and have NEVER had a problem...
