Shrek 3, I guess. I don't think the sale for Transformers was a coincidence since that's a title aimed squarely at the PS3's target demo -- a sale was a perfectly reasonable and very much appreciated response -- but I can't really imagine the Blu-ray camp (or anyone, really ) going nuts trying to deflate Shrek 3. I think the timing of this one could just be coincidence (and it's still appreciated!).

I thought Shrek 3, but then I could see Star Trek as well, I guess.

Having said that, though, I think it's more related to DeepDiscount's 20% off sale, etc. along with Christmas sales ramping up.

Picked up six $19.95 titles for a total of $47.88, $7.98 each (yes, I have the 10% discount and it is working on all titles including the freebies, same as last time). Also picked up a couple of $26.95 titles for $21.56, $10.78 each.

$8 BDs are a good deal. Now if I could just get a player for a decent price...

A big thank you to Adam Tyner for posting this deal!

Will DDD give me the BOGO price on Gridiron Gang and The Lives of Others? I ordered both using the 20% off coupon last week, but this is a much better deal.

Wasn't that B2G1? I don't remember any B1G1's on HD DVD there... still waiting for Universal to step up to the plate!

Ya I ordered a bunch of this stuff from both DVDplanet and DDD on Friday, but I cancelled the DVDPlanet order today and tried to cancel DDD, but they said I couldn't. I'll just return them and reorder everything at B1G1. Kind of a pain but worth it to save way more money.

Man I would love to see a Universal BOGO. I can think of at least 6 titles I would get. Unfortunately none of them are worth $18-$20 to me or I would have them already.

Could you explain the deal since the link seems to be dead. It goes to a page with no thread at all.

They may be trying to offset any surge in HD movie sales because of the recent crap $100 HD players.

You embarrass yourself.

And there's no doubt Sony is trying to prop up sales. But the studios will see through this easily.
