Did you buy a PS3? It counts as a hi-def player in the promotion.

The closest has been some 2 for certain price points but not a general BOGO that I can remember.

I bought a PS3 on ebay, but not on Amazon.com. I guess I am just a lucky guy. Amazon has always treated me well. One time I asked for a refund of $20 for a speaker because the price lowered within 30 days, and they gave me an $80 refund.

Don't worry..Sony will eventually lower their players. Imagine if there was only 1 High Definition out there? We ALL would be paying $500 just a player right now. Thanks to both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray existence.

While HD-DVD players are cheap, their software movies are expensive.

Another amazing Blu-Ray software sale -- every title on my wish list would be about $10 each.

I'm guessing this is to combat Shrek 3 sales?

Again? Well, if you're not caught up on Sony and Disney catalog BDs by now, it's your own fault. I wish Warner and Fox titles could be in these sales. Anyway, this is still a great deal for those starting out.

Not to start anything, but HD DVD and Blu-ray software are about the same prices on average. Blu-ray tends to have frequent BOGO type sales, but that does change the fact that the software is the same price as HD DVD nearly every day.

man these are some amazing deals. Got:
Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the black Pearl
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Curse of the Golden Flower
Fifth Element (remastered)
for 43.90 shipped
I don't even own the ps3 yet, but couldn't pass up these prices.
I might even go back and get a few more.

Dude. Do you have a K-mart around? You might as well get a PS3 for $319, plus get 5 free movies.

How long does this sale last... I want to pick up a few titles but I can't place my order until Tuesday or Wednesday? Any feedback from someone who took advantage of this sale last time?

These saless usually last a about a week maximum. That's why it says "limited time offer while supplies last"

This is actually better then the same deal they had last month which only included Disney titles. Adding Sony titles gives us more choices

I ordered The Patriot & Donnie Brasco myself

PS Might also finally end up ordering POTC: Curse Of The Black Pearl. I've been holding off hoping DISNEY would fix that 10 minute framing issue a lot of people have pointed out but it doesn't look like that's gonna happen anytime soon

Cheers

Hey, Just a quick question. I live in Australia so have a different region code to the US, is it safe to assume that if Amazon says the discs (Sony or Disney) are all regions that they actually are? Im not gonna receive them in the mail and then not be able to use them? The prices are crazy! we are still paying $30 min/$40 avg for blu-ray, so this may make the purchase worth while. any help would be great.

Mate, short answer is no.

I go to my cart and they're full price... just doing Sony first. Help?

Nevermind. You have to go all the way to checkout for it to work. Thanks

BTW are they doing the 10% off next year if you buy a certain amount this year?

The discount does not show until the very last step in the order process.

Could not pass this up, even though I told the wife I would not buy any new movies this year. (Since I just recently bought a PS3 and a HD-DVD player within a week of each other).

I already (hopefully) have POTC: Curse of the Black Pearl coming as a mail-in freebie, so I bought:

POTC: Dead Man's Chest $23.95
Apocalypto $23.95
Casino Royale $26.95
Talledega Nights $26.95

Total $50.90

DDD Sony/Disney Buy 1 Get 1 Blu-Ray (more titles)

Deepdiscount also has the Buy 1 Get 1 Blu-ray sale as well, with some additional titles that Amazon doesn't have like Bram Stoker's Dracula and Tekkon Kinkreet. You can't combine the 20% off coupon with this unfortunately

Sony BOGO

Disney BOGO

You cannot combine coupons. Although Spider-man 3 is pictured in the banner, the coupon won't work with this title.

interesting, so mixing the batch seem to reflect the proper discount after all... i thought ordering the $24 movies together the $27 movies, you end up with the $24 ones for free and charged with the $27 ones...

i ordered the $20 ones separately...

No, that's because he ordered a sony for $26 got a SONY for FREE ($26) and a Disney at $24 and got one for free ($24) because when I tried to order some $26.95 sony's alongside some $19.95 Sony's, I was ALWAYS paying for the HIGHER priced ones... if he had added any more lesser cost SONY or DISNEY movies he'd be paying for the higher priced ones for sure...I split mine into two different orders like you did.

Damn, I am dying to get Black Book - wish it was part of the amazon deal! Shipping from DDD always gets dinged at customs coming to Canada so unless I place a much larger order and get in on this, I'll have to wait.
