Old School HD
I was lucky enough to attend a Final Four party hosted at RCA's Headquarters in Indianaolis back in the mid-90s. They had a great museum/exhibit hall of the evolution of electronics. One of the last displays was a small darken room that featured a large 50-60 inch screen showing two HD mini-movies. One featured the Grand Canyon and the other was a flyover of sites in Indiana. Everyone was just stunned. Needless to say, it was a very, very long wait for the technology to make it into my home. I cannot even tell you who won the Final Four that year, but I still remember the camera shot going over the Golden Dome at Notre Dame and seeing the detail of the building.
