Question about HD-DVD rebate if returning player?

Ok, first off I love my A2 player. I have had it for alittle over a month. I purchased it at Costco for 249.99

Now with the 98 dollar model at wal-mart on friday I plan to get one of those and return my Costco model ( Which i am assuming the only difference is the Hdmi cable being included ). 150 dollar price drop is just too much to let pass in the purchase period. My question is this, the day after getting the coscto A2 I sent away for the 5 free hd titles. When i return the player, will the rebate offer somehow be notified? or will I still get the discs? I'm not looking to screw the rebate offer, but hey i won't deny the free discs either ;o)

Just wondering...
P.S. this was for the previous list of titles, pre october offer.

Costco will accept returns without the UPC?

Coscto will accept returns without the box. The 90 day satesfaction garrentee is apart of being a paying member.

Regardless, my box from coscto had two upc stickers on it. I sent one off and kept the other one on the box just incase.

I thought DVD players were still under the "old" return policy? 90 days only for TV, Mp3 players and computers?

I think you're giving these rebate centers too much credit. They can barely process a claim successfully when they have all the materials in front of them.

I can't imagine they have the capacity to receive data on returns daily to match against received rebates.

This is possible, I just usually have stuck to the new 90 rule when thinking about a return. Could be worth investigating.

Good Call, I figured asmuch. I just didn't know if anyone else had a similar situation.
