No Twilight Zone The Movie today on HD-DVD or Blu-Ray?

I have called a half dozen local retailers and even contacted Deepdiscount and nobody has had this in stock. The lady at DeepDiscount told me that her computer shows its arrival to be on the 19th? A Friday? Does anyone know what is going on with this release? Thanks!

I was at several stores today - no one had any version of it - DVD, HD DVD or Blu-Ray.

My Blu-Ray order was still pending at Amazon. However, the HD DVD version shows as In stock, so I ordered that and it went to Shipping Soon status. Not sure what's up with WB. Troy and Alexander were also spotty with getting out on time 2 weeks ago.

Same for here in Lansing. I went all over and to no avail. Picked up the SD version (of which there were plenty) just to tide me over.

My Twilight Zone BD was holding up my preorders from going out from DVDEmpire on Friday so I moved it to next week and still shown as not in stock as of today.

According to a distributor at the blu-ray forums (moretonbay) that is pretty reliable with his info, there are distribution issues with a lot of discs from Warner on both BD\HD-DVD for this week and at least the next week as well (he also mentions a delay for Transformers).

I am going to put to rest any rumors of of all the 10/9 releases being delayed.
THE FOLLOWING BLU-RAYS ARE IN STOCK:
FROM HELL
EDWARD SCISSORHANDS
28 DAYS LATER
28 WEEKS LATER
SURF'S UP
ROBOCOP
REIGN OVER ME
THE FLY

THE ONLY 10/9 TITLE NOT REC'D WAS
TWILIGHT ZONE (HD ALSO DIDN'T RECEIVE THEIRS EITHER)

ALSO THE FOLLOWING 10/16 TITLES ARE IN STOCK WITH DISTRIB.:

THE INVISIBLE
MASTERS OF HORROR SEASON 1 VOL. 1
HOLLOW MAN
MASTERS OF HORROR SEASON 1 VOL. 2

NOT IN STOCK:
HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL
THE REAPING

Even for HD
currently not in stock to ship to retailers are:

Return to House on Haunted Hill
The Reaping
Transformers (I'm sorry but I find this funny that it hasn't been rec'd by distrib)
(BY THE WAY THE DVD VERSION IS IN STOCK BUT NOT THE HD)

THE ONLY 10/16 TITLE THEY HAVE IN STOCK IS
A MIGHTY HEART.

For 10/9
Evan Almight was in stock for them
but they also do not have any Twilight Zone's either

THIS IS A WARNER PROBLEM - NOTHING ELSE AND ITS THE SAME FOR BOTH SIDES. When Warner recently upgraded their system everything got very very messed up - so right now they can't tell anyone if their order has been fulfilled - if so when it was shipped - any tracking numbers to the distributors or chains. Everyone keeps saying this will be fixed shortly-but to be honest you never know. Whenever they do get their system running properly again - you will see the releases on time again.

Hmm, I assumed it hadn't been sent because I ordered it from WB along with the Kubrick titles, so I figured they were going to wait and send them all at once since I got free shipping. I sure hope they get this straightened out by then.

Michael Palin's Pole to Pole on DVD was delayed as well - and I believe BBC stuff is also distributed by WB.

Are you certain that you read that e-mail correctly? Amazon just sent me a notice saying that Twight Zone HD has been delayed. And I'm a Prime member, so I doubt they'd delay it for me if they had any copies to ship.

Since the HD version is in stock, you might want to contact them and find out why they are specifically delaying yours. I haven't even ordered it, yet I could order it right now and have it by tomorrow....

Was yours in "Shipping Soon" status?

Mine has been since yesterday morning and hasn't budged. We'll see...

Mine has been in 'shipping soon' since yesterday when I switch to the HD from the BD...but it still has yet to actually ship.

I would be shocked if the Transformers HD DVD isn't day-and-date.

Just got my shipping notice for the HD DVD version.

I REALLY hope this isn't what we have to look forward to 2 weeks from now with the Kubrick discs.

I agree, that would be a pretty big snafu to be sure. But it does seem to be the buzz also over at AVS.

ugh...that's right.

I dealt w/ this when Troy was release a couple weeks ago..cancelled my preorder because it wasn't shipping...figured i'd just go pick it up on release day. Couldn't find it anywhere

Same here with Troy. Mine didn't ship on the Monday. Saw it at Fry's Tuesday but didn't get it. Tuesday at 8pm and it still hadn't shipped. I run down to Fry's to get it, come back, and then it was in "Shipping Soon".

Can't win with this crap sometimes!

Sorry, Matome, but someone on AVS claims it is out and available at a store in the Cincinnati area. And another poster says review copies are going out today and will be in the appropriate hands by Friday. So I don't think there's any truth to the delay rumor.

I saw one post saying their copy has shipped from DVD Pacific.

It was... and still is... in 'shipping soon' status. It was pre-ordered months ago. If it doesn't ship by tomorrow I'll be e-mailing a complaint to Amazon. What point is there in pre-ordering a disc months in advance, paying for Prime service, and then having them delay shipment while others who've ordered the disc much more recently are already receiving their copies? (Unfortunately this is not the first time this has happened...)

I ordered mine (HD version) off of Amazon at around 4:30pm on 10/10 with overnight shipping.

It was delivered on 10/11 at around 6:00pm. Watched it last night.
