Toshiba mailed me a 2.2 update disc. This is the first update I will have done to my player. When i put the disc in, it says its not dvd format and can't be read. What's up with that?

Must be a bad disc..I'm not sure what Player you have, but there is already firmware 2.5 for most players..download it and burn it as an ISO and there you go.

Normally, I don't recommend AVS, but in this case, this is a good thread about it:

Don't use NERO to burn an ISO image. Use the program they recommend.

I have burned probably a half dozen Toshiba HD DVD ISO updates with Nero and have had ZERO problems.

Yeah, well, I used Nero and I had no less than 4 coasters. I was using Nero 6.

Cameron, what model player do you have. I have the XA2.

You may want to update to a newer version before crying wolf.

I too tried to update with no luck. I tried to update first online and then called toshiba and they sent a disc. My message says the same when I load this disc that it can't be read.
