my point was simply that people associate 'director's cut' or 'extended version' with tons of time/scenes added back in just because they were shot. that is not always the case obviously.
i'd rather fincher add in 6 minutes that he feels makes the film complete in his mind than throw 20 minutes in just because they were available.

Already had mine on pre-order, but this art seals the deal. Absolutely beautiful; gimmicky, sure, but fans of the Se7en and Fight Club art for the DVD releases will be pleased. So much for complaining over the SD art...

Can someone tell me why this is 2 discs? I thought part of the point of HD was that it could hold more info, so we shouldn't need 2 disc sets anymore. I have a few titles that fit everything from both discs onto 1 HD disc, why is this any different?

Well, I guess it could be the length of the movie, plus 2 commentaries, plus a couple DD+(?) tracks. Probably the same reason Transformers was also a 2-disc set?

Also, consumers equate MORE DISCS = MORE CONTENT...Even if that's not the case people love getting 2 disc sets... I actually prefer to have them split up the content into two discs, especially if it means high def extras instead of SD ones.

Was there ever a statement made by HD proponents that there would be no more 2-disc sets? I can't remember anyone saying this. All I remember is the mentioning of longer movies being on a lower number of discs.
