Need Help With the HD-A2

Hello. I recently purchased the HD-A2 to replace my Sony Upconverting DVD player. I am going to be running the HDMI video to my Samsung 42 Plasma and sound via optical link to my receiver.

One problem I had with the Sony was there was a delay between the sound and picture due to the use of HDMI and the optical out.l

That was solved with a neat menu in the Sony that delayed the sound by 20MS.

Can the HD-A2 do that?

Thanks,
Dan

I am using HDMI video with optical audio on my A2 and have never had that problem. Sounds like a player issue, not an HDMI issue.

Not a player issue - a receiver or TV issue, especially if it happens w/ more than 1 player.

Yes it is a receiver issue, and no there is no option for this on the A2 unfortunately.

Many receivers also have lip sync offset options.
