They both work when you go for the 4 for 3 deal, as evidenced above. Odd.

Finally Success

Shaun of the Dead
Mallrats
Road Warrior

All HD DVD and my total shipped was $33.91

Back in to try again. Really wish The Warriors had worked, but that one seemed excluded for both Blu-ray and HD DVD. Either that or one disc is the trigger for the deal. Nothing worked until I tried the Road Warrior.

Thanks for the Hellboy reminder. I must have missed that when I was searching... picked up Night at the Museum, Deja Vu, and Hellboy for $42.

Trick is, no one seems to know what titles work, and what don't - so you have to play around a bit. You'll see the discount reflected on the last screen before you confirm your order.

I've played around with the movies and this deal is insane. Movies that work in one combo of three, will not work if you change it with one movie that works with another combo of three. It all seems very much based on hitting the right combo of three that work together. Don't think I'm going to find another three that work that I want or don't already have.

Edit: With more tinkering I'm finding most combos do work as long as you go with the list of known titles that are good. People are listing movies that don't really work with the deal. If you did a 4 for 3 deal you could have dumped one of the 4 and got it 3 for 2.

Figures that in the last month I've ordered most of the catalogue titles I wanted. I may try and pick up 3 lesser wants though, because that is a hot deal, anyone know how long this is going on for?

I wonder if Dawn of the Dead will work tomorrow after the pre-order flag is removed.

Spy Game doesn't seem to work.

Damn it, all the titles I want are not in either allowed or disallowed list.

I tried: Hot Fuzz, Children of Men, and The Host. I don't think Children of Men or Hot Fuzz work.

It doesn't look like this 'sale' was planned, I think Amazon will figure out what's going on by then... but maybe not!
