I noticed Pro-Bassoonist and his great research on Blu-Ray titles around the globe - So here goes a couple titles coming and are avalible in HD.

This is neither a stance on what format is superior nor inferior in any means, the only true way for this format (HD/BD) is for mass support of both technologies.

If there can be Atari, Kaleeko, Nintendo, Sega, NEC Turbografx, Panasonic 3DO, Neo Geo, Sony Playstation, Microsoft XBOX, etc. in Gaming Consoles. Than why not multiple formats in 1080p cinema?

I know someone's going to say that 6 of the companies stated no longer make consoles. But thats not the point! LMAO

The title of the thread is misleading.

"Foreign Cinema in HD-DVD" implies foreign language films that are released on the HD-DVD format. You're listing HD-DVD releases in countries outside the US.

Craig already had a thread on this but if you can keep it semi-updated, it would be a great resource. Obviously he can't edit his thread.

Would it be OK to split the list into two: one that has either an English dub or English subtitles, and the other for ones that are only in the original language.

From what I understand, the Oldboy JP release and the Pan's Labyrinth FR release are in the film's original language without any English subtitles.

I wonder if it would be helpful to simply set up a Wiki somewhere...

From what I've heard most of the Studio Canal's release from the early launch titles have pitch issues - But only when compared to the original DVD is it noticeable.

The pitch is really bad on Basic Instinct. You'd be hard-pressed to miss it, even without a DVD for reference. It sounds like the actors were huffing helium.
