How is it they announce all these titles coming out oversea, yet they havent really annonced anything this year thats worth a damn here in the states?
|
Here's the official cover for Caramel Blu-Ray in France. It is sad that this film won't be touched with the magic HD stick in the US (and what Tutut noted above stays: subs are not announced).

ID4, Ronin, Seventh Seal UK Blu ray discs
I'm curious to know if these discs will play in US BR players. I've purchased UK BR discs before (Air force One, The Rock, Crimson tide) and they all play just fine on my players, but I have a bit of hesitancy on purchasing these without knowing for certain that they'll play. There use to be a listing of non "R1" BR discs that would play on "R1" systems but I have not seen it in a while so forgive me if this info is readily available elsewhere.
These are all currently available in the UK for purchase. Thanks in advance, |
You can import the Japanese disc of Ronin (same region as the US). The US disc will be exactly the same (except menus). I have it and it goes directly to the movie when you start the disc.
|
Also UK disc of The Seventh Seal is region-free and works perfectly in region A players.
|
Thanks <b>Arpeggi</b>. I'll get Seventh Seal & the Japanese Ronin disc and wait on the ID4 disc.
|
Cool, got ID4 & Ronin from CD Japan and now I'm off to Amazon UK for Seventh Seal.

Upcoming French BR:

This website is a great resource for determining BD region coding:

BD is region encoded right? It would be sweet to get Narnia before Caspian arrives in theaters.
|
It's up to the studio/distributor to enable region coding if they wish. There are plenty of BD's that are region free.
|
Roger Rabbit and Butch Cassidy?
HOLY SHIT. Speed it up to the US, dammit! |
you mean cumming.
|
I thought this was something about Blade Runner and The Wizard of Oz. :)
