I for one will miss it. I just placed an order for all the BD & HD discs I want for the next 3 mos. & saved $53.00. I'm also an amazon prime member so the shipping (2 day) was free as well.

Where is the automatic 10% discount?

I have been wanting to place pre-orders on newly listed titles, but noticed that Amazon has not been inserting the 10% discount on my orders.

I wanted to place an order last week and decided to wait to see if the 10% off would be added later. After waiting a week, I just placed the order and called Amazon for a manual discount.

The first customer service rep said they couldn't do anything until the items shipped and then they would adjust the order for the discount. Why should I have to contact them a second time for the SAME discount??? I did contact them again and then they agreed to manually give me the 10%.

Previously, I never had this problem. It usually took 3-4 days after listing an item before the 10% would appear. Now it seems to take forever.

Anyone else having this same problem?

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when an item has the discount added.

Perfect example: The HD-DVD and Blu-Ray editions of Blade Runner are up for pre-order. The briefcase versions have the discount, but the regular 5-disc version does not.

I think thats a total mis-price on Blade Runner. There is no way a regular 5 disc set is 27.99. I ordered it anyway.

I agree it's dirt cheap.... ordered the 5 disc HD-DVD as a gift for a friend and a copy of the briefcase version.

You know I was thinking. What are the chances only the new cut is HD? Then I could maybe see the price in that range.

that maybe the case, but why would Warner's commision and grant permission for HDNet Movies to air 'The Director's cut' (not the Final Cut) in HiDef?

I still miss the $5 coupon that was an automatic for any Amazon order.

REALLY miss Share the Love...

and the pi/2 discount.

The thing about the 10% off discount is that rarely is it cheaper than waiting for the DDD 20% off sale. Pretty disappointing, I figured it was going to be automatic to buy the HD titles on Amazon.

I preordered the HD DVD version about a hour ago and the 10% was applied.

Should probably start a new thread but since it was mentioned here - Bill "Blu Ray" Hunt confirms all Blade Runner versions are in HD!
