i know its shady...but does walmart take HD-Dvd returns w/o receipt? i'd like to trade some of the movies that i already have for something esle.

Since WM no longer sells HD DVDs you would have a hard time swapping them there. Try the DVD exchange here, EBay, or FS/FT at AVSforum.

I sent my card in the first week in March, got a postcard early last week, and finally got my 5 discs today. I ordered: The Thing, Italian Job, Full Metal Jacket, Frighteners, and Troy.
I received: Transformers, Miami Vice, Billy Madison, Troy, and Full Metal Jacket.

I already own Transformers, didnt really want Miami Vice or Billy Madison. Anyone wanna trade? I'll trade Billy Madison or Miami Vice for Fast Times, Bourne, Casino, the Mummy, or Accepted.
I'll unload Transformers on Ebay unless someone has a really good trade, say, the Thing or Frighteners or something. Shoot me an offer for that :-)

Got my second batch today. I sent the form in a day or two before the promo ended. Got Children of Men, Sky Captain, Billy Madison, Full Metal Jacket and Miami Vice. Only own Children of Men already but I'm giving my copy to a co-worker. Two orders, ten unique movies, only one I already had....yeah, I can't complain.

Fry's is the only store I've been to recently which still has HD DVD's on the shelf. Of course, they pull on the rubber gloves every time you have a return, legitimate or otherwise, so I wouldn't think you'd have too much luck there with a no receipt return on discontinued product.

Well I received the "postcard" on 06/09/08 and the following greeted me yesterday:

Billy Madison and Smoking Aces both had their cases/UPCs slashed. Of the five (5) I originally requested I received Full Metal Jacket and Troy.

Though I cant complain too much because I now have two (2) copies of Transformers, one (1) came with my A35 and the other through the redemption offer.

I don't have Dreamgirls, Full Metal Jacket, Sleepy Hollow, The Departed, Four Brothers, or Alexander Revisited like some people have been getting. But with my luck, I'll already own all 5 that I receive...

I received the same postcard a few weeks ago and then got my package today - NOTHING I requested (of course) but at least I did not receive ALexander!!!!

I got Miami Vice, Blood Diamond, Knocked Up, The Last Samuri and Top Gun. One more order to go - this one was for buying the $19.95 (AR) XBox 360 drive. Not too shabby though.

Still, I pray the last order does NOT bring me an ALexander!!!
