Received my five hd dvd's today. I ordered toward the end of February. I asked for:
Italian Job > Received Italian Job
Troy > Received Troy
Pitch Black > Recived 12 Monkeys (already have it)
Frighteners > Received The Bourne Supremacy (I can live with that!!)
Charlie & the Chocolate Factory > Received Harry Potter, Order of the Phoenix, > have that one on blu ray.
Overall, I'm content. Hell; they were free!!!!

Just got mine today after sending the form the last week (player was only 80 bucks at Costco and came with the first 2 Bourne movies)- came in a padded mailer from "Archway Marketing Services" in Rockford MN. I got 2 of the ones I'd asked for, U2 and Italian Job. I'd asked for The Thing, Full Metal Jacket and Troy and instead got Blood Diamond, Casino and Alexander Revisited. At least I hadn't bought any of those, since I've never seen the theatrical version of Alexander I'll have to go get that now. Revisited looks like a crap release that I'd never buy- not only does it not include the theatrical version, but the version that is included is split across 2 discs! The 2-disc HD cases are retarded too, since the first disc is hidden behind the insert.

Can't complain too much for what I paid, at least now I can go buy stuff without worrying about getting a second free copy.

Alexander isn't that great a movie in any of its incarnations. But the final cut is by far the best of the three. Just watch that one. Don't waste your time on the theatrical cut.

I finally got my two sets here in Canada. The one I sent in later showed up almost a month before the other one.

Set 1: I ordered Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Babel, The Thing, The Frighteners, Darkman.

I got the first two, along with Van Helsing, Chronicles of Riddick and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Set 2: ordered Charlie and Chocolate Factory (extra for my friend), Aeon Flux, Pitch Black, Syriana and Black Rain.

I got the first two, Van Helsing (again!), 16 Blocks and Dune

Oh well, I got 40% of my order and most of the replacements are decent (except for having 2 copies of Van Helsing, but I can trade that off to a friend) so I'm satisfied. No slashed UPC codes either on any of my Universal discs, so that's a bonus.

I finally got mine today.
I ordered Troy, The Thing, Frighteners, Aeon Flux and Swordfish.
I got Troy, Next, Miami Vice (combo), Billy Madison and Lethal Weapon.
Both Universal titles had their UPCs slashed.

1 out of 5- not good. I was at least expecting Aeon Flux, which everyone seems to be getting. It seems to be entirely random. I was a bit surprised to see Next and Miami Vice. I'd be happy to trade Billy Madison for just about anything.

Got mine today. It's been so long I don't recall what I originally asked for. At any rate, got Lethal Weapon, Sleepy Hollow, Billy Madison, Italian Job, and Casino.

I already had Italian Job and Casino, so if anyone would like to swap straight-up for something that they might not like, let me know.

Holy crap, I think I officially broke a world record.

I'm STILL waiting for my order, which was mailed in last November. I was called by a Toshiba rep the next month, who explained that one of my titles was not valid so I had to pick another one...which would take another 6-8 weeks to process (geez, just pick one for me, dammit!). Since November and that time, I bought a new house and was planning to move in late January...so I explained this to the rep and gave them my new address.

Fast forward to April. I hadn't received anything yet, so I called back. Another Toshiba rep explained that my order was finally mailed on March 12...to my OLD ADDRESS. Figuring the box would be forwarded to the new address, I assumed the box would eventually arrive in May. Probably.

It didn't, so I finally called them back again today. The box was returned to them as "undeliverable", so the EXACT SAME ORDER was processed and re-sent to me at the new address. Rep #3 explained that the order was in the final stages of processing and would ship soon. So it looks like it'll be another month or two at the very most.

The good news (and damn, I must be an optimist to find anything good about all this) is that it sounds as if the movies I re-picked back in December are part of this shipment, so maybe I'll actually get some of my choices. With my luck, though, I'll get 5 copies of Aeon Flux with slashed UPCs. And Blu-Ray will probably be a defunct format by the time my order arrives.
