Wow, I hope I get Accepted and Fast Times, those were two I've been waiting to get dirt cheap to pick up. lol

First round I picked up Italian Job, Pitch Black, Full Metal Jacket, Frighteners, and Troy and for my second batch I picked out Aeon Flux, The Thing, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Firewall, and Black Rain. Hopefully Firewall and Black Rain get subbed out.

You might want to call again and ask for the substitute titles for the five titles that you ordered.

Back on March 4th I was given the following list:

1) The Thing--->Replaced by Pitch Black, Born on the 4th of July, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, White Noise or Monthy Python and the Meaning of Life)

2) Charlie and the Chocolate Factory--->Replaced by Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix)

3)The Frighteners--->Replaced by Doom, Accepted, or Jarhead)

4) Darkman--->Replaced by Doom, Waist Deep, Bulletproof or Red Dragon.)

5) Italian Job---> Still shipping, No substitutes yet.

Of course, they can't tell you the particular substitute you will actually receive for any selected title.

Bah, I'm going to be bummed if I get Harry Potter. Out of the titles getting subbed I just want Accepted and Fast Times.

I haven't had any problems with the number being busy but I've only called three times so I dunno.

Got mine today finally. The only one I got that I asked for was Babel.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High (loved the movie but have no interest on owning it in HD when I have the standard)

Really sucks, I wanted The Thing and The Frighteners and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory a lot, but alas I get stuck with Spy Game. Anybody want to trade anything I would be more than willing.

On the Canadian side of things, looks like my 5 will be shipping soon. But from what they told me when I called the info line, I won't be getting Pitch Black and The Frighteners. Instead those are being substituted with The Hulk and Van Helsing. If I hadn't called in they would have substituted The Chronicles of Riddick for Pitch Black, which would have really sucked because I already have it (specifically chose TCoR as one of my free HD DVDs (when I bought my A3) because I planned on getting PB free via the rebate!!)

Yep, those are mostly stinkers alright. At least I knew going in that things would get ugly since HD-DVD had already been declared dead. The one disc I really wanted was The Thing so I went ahead and bought it knowing that I would somehow get screwed out of it in the 5 Free deal. I figure since I liked the five I did get enough to own them on DVD I can't really complain about a free upgrade.
