When you buy from a particular store, do you have to use that store's rebate form specifically? 'Cause sometimes there's a different selection. (i.e. my Crutchfield form doesn't have Troy)

What's the number to call to verify your order?

I ordered my player from Amazon. What screen do I need to print out for the sales receipt? or do I print the email confirmation of the order?

the sales receipt from amazon will be the one that comes in the mail with the player... the rebate center won't accept the email confirmation for the free dvds!

Just got a call from Toshiba that the fifth tier titles were all out except for "Black Rain". I have no clue what that means.

Odd, I just returned a call to them (TMNT and Syriana were "invalid") earlier today, and all were available. I chose Troy since most have been getting the Director's Cut, but Black Rain was my backup.

I assume they meant Category E which includes the following titles : Black Rain, Darkman, and Troy. Looks like Darkman and Troy are out so Black Rain is on it's way to you.

When I got my call a couple of weeks back, Troy wasn't among the non-available...hopefully I still get it.

Ugh. If that's the case with mine, I'll have to view this as 4 free movies.

Nah. Just return them to a B&M and get store credit and buy what you want.

Given that many titles on the Toshiba 5 free HD-DVDs form are Warner Bros. and Warner just announced they are discontinuing their HD-DVDs in a few months, should I be worried that they may run out of stock before they get around to fulfilling my movies in a few months?

I didn't send my rebate form in until after Christmas as the player was technically supposed to be a Christmas gift so I had to wait to open and use it. That means early March is the soonest I could hope to see my movies given the typical 2-3 month turnaround time. I still hope Warner has the HD-DVDs I want by then and won't just say "too bad" if they run out or send me a substitute I don't want. Substitutes wouldn't be so bad except I hear in many cases they destroy the UPC so you can't trade them in anywhere (last I checked my FYE won't take used DVDs with mangled UPCs).

I would imagine they'll have enough stock to fulfill the rebates. If the WB movies start to dry up, other ones will be used in relacement.

As long as I've been at this forum, you have had the worst luck ever. I think WB was waiting for you to buy a hd-dvd player before going BD exclusive.

I haven't gotten my 5 free yet. But, Looks like I am going to be stuck with Aeon Flux. At least it will look good.

Sorry to laugh at Manzana's expense but I needed that laugh.

I'm wondering this also. As far as the WB discs go, I'd expect that there are still lots of them in warehouses, but as I saw with the Blu Ray promo, they feel free to subtitute for discontinued merchandise.

Well, they claim they sent out my order on 12/8, but since it's been over 4 weeks, they are resending. Wee.

My first set of 5 made it today. Sent it in after picking up the 360 add on drive when BB had an incredible deal on it. Still waiting on the set from the $99 HD-A2 at WalMart. Sending them to my dad's address.

I just called and again they told me that I'm going to need to give more time for the processing. Processing started on October 26th and they are still processing my movies. I told the guy on the phone that I am going to contact the B.B.B. and have them contact this P.O.S. rebate center. It is very disheartening to see some people receive their movies within a month to a month and a half of when they sent in their form and I'm still "just in the system".

I just got mine today. All five I ordered and they only took 5 weeks. Of course now the question is, do I open them?

You just proved my point from my previous post. Thanks rebate center for nothing!
