BluRay/HD-DVD Deals at MTV.com (deal dead)

I KNOW it has been posted in DVD deals already, but technically that is not even the right place as it is not just DVD deals.

Since this coupon makes both HD formats HOT, I figured I would post it here.

Go to MTV.com LINK
Put something in your cart.
Use PAYPAL to check out.
At the order confirmation page, use code FREEMONEY for $10 off and Free Shipping.

U picked up Coming to America BluRay for $12 shipped.

Nice find. I was able to use it twice. I'm gonna place a few more orders with this coupon and see if MTV honors them.

Looks like they'll also send a code for $10 off your next order.

Awesome deal. Thanks, SoSpacey!

I ordered Blue Planet and Blood Diamond HD DVDs. I'll have to now cancel my WBStore orders for these two titles.

Best part? I had $20 sitting in my PayPal that I didn't remember. Sweet!

This is irritating. It says the coupon is active on the site, but when I try to check out, it tells me that the coupon is expired.

Read the thread in the DVD Bargains section. I think a bunch of people on this board and others were placing orders, so the coupon code expired. Now comes the waiting game...

Good deal. Too bad I'm short on cash (even for this offer) right now.

Well, from reading the other thread it looks like many of these orders are going to get cancelled. I ordered the two Clint Eastwood WWII movies; now I'll wait to see if they ship them or notify me of cancellations.

If any of these orders get canceled, you can thank the jackasses at slick deals and fatwallet who placed multiple orders for things that were under $10 in an attempt to get stuff for free.

fwiw, I preordered a copy of The Warriors on HD DVD. Didn't want to push it with multiple orders.

There are a few jackasses here at DVDTalk who did the same thing.

The deal is now dead, and folks are seeing their orders cancelled right and left, even those (like me and many others) who placed ONE order.

Saw this on FW early yesterday. I placed one order, for an SD-DVD concert video, and got a ship notice this morning.

I think that if you tried to use the coupon, and did not order it via paypal, it rejected the order.

Nope. I ordered via PayPal and was cancelled. I sent them a message asking why. Unsurprisingly, I have not heard back. I'm just pissed I can't "un-give" them my personal info. Fuckers.
