XBox 360 Add-On Installation Question
I just upgraded to a Toshiba HD-DVD player, so I'd like to sell my 360 add-on. I seem to have misplaced the installation software. My question is, will an XBox connected to XBox Live recognize the HD drive and install the software?
I'm assuming it will, but I'd like to make sure before I sell the add-on. Thanks in advance! |
I will not as far as I know. The disc is required.

I never used the disk with my install, as soon as I booted up with the drive attached it saw an update, downloaded it and installed it.

I must have part of one of the more recent updates then. I bought it the week it was released and the system did nothing when I just hooked up the drive.

call microsoft and say you got a new 360 and lost the other?

I can also confirm you don't need the disc.

I needed the disc when I had to get a new Xbox 360. That was in March. Dont' know if that has been resolved with teh Spring dashboard update.
