28 HD DVDs, 40 Blu-rays. 6 HDs (5 from Toshiba) and 2 BDs currently on the way, 14 HDs (well, 17 if you count each Matrix movie individually) and 9 BDs pre-ordered.

SUCK SAKE!!!

Compared to DthRdrX and his HUNDREDS of HD DVDs & Blu-rays... (What a friggin' show off! )

I've got only 46 HD DVDs & 30 Blu-rays

HEY! That maingon lad posted a picture of his HD DVDs on page 1, so why not?

Here ya go!

They're (obviously) on the top of this (still) unfinished (raggity arse) shelve.

28 HD DVDs. I'd have more if the transfers on some of them were better. Between reviews and rentals, i've avoided more than a few HD titles I would have otherwise bought.

Hey, obladioblada!

Me too!

You know, with many of my SD's, the transfers are SO GOOD, I forget I'm not watching HD!

(How do they do that? And why don't they do that more often?)

How the hell do you guys expect one format to win if you keep buying movies on both formats?

I don't.

Samsung is putting out a combo player at the end of the year. Warner will start selling discs with Blu-ray on one side and HD DVD on the other.

I'm not going to miss out on a film I want because it's format exclusive. La Haine is HD DVD, Volver is Blu-ray, you expect me to have one and not the other?

Most of us buying both have come to the conclusion that one format isn't going to win.

I just counted the HD DVDs. i was wrong - I have 50 even.

As far as the war goes. i can wait another year to buy into Blu Ray if I have to. Very liitle has come out on Blu Ray so far that I would buy. Of course if more classic films came out on Blu Ray they would get me a lot faster.

I have 94 total (76 hd and 18 bd) and 20 on pre-order.

Im format neutral, but all things being equal, I go for an hd-dvd release over bluray.

Lossless PCM or combo hd disc can push me over into getting BD instead.

9 HD-DVD.

I take REALLY quality shots.

Have Netflixed almost double that. I want to see them, not own them. A drastic turnaround from the S-DVD era for me.

That pretty much sums it up for me.

Although, I felt like Jamers still feels, I can understand and sincerely respect why he feels the way he does.

However, I've come to the realization that not only is Life too damn short, and that I have no guarantees I'll even be here tomorrow, if I have to purchase two systems to see the titles I want, so be it.

If one system wins, I'm covered, and if neither does, I'm still covered.

...meaning that, if they both continue to co-habitate the HD market (is what I mean to say), I'm totally ready to rock and or roll! The money is already spent and the bills are paid!

Besides, I don't wanna have to play catch up. Like I sorta said earlier in this post, I may not be here in a week, and I for one don't even wanna THINK about dyin' before I've seen 'Cars' in HD!!!

( )

It's like having my cake and eating it too.

It's the best of both worlds, and I for one, like it.

-Paul
