I am now a dual format supporter

Sonystyle.com had free shipping, so after tax and the $100 for signing up for their credit card, it came to $545. Not awful. I gave up on ever trying to find a 20gb model. I also had GCs at Amazon, so I got the remote as well. Monoprice for another hdmi cable, and I'm good to go.

Don't see myself buying any games, but it looked like the best way to get into a BR player today, and there are some movies I would like to watch.

But I feel dirty. It does make me feel better knowing that Sony will lose money on me, though. Netflix and no games.

Welcome to the darkside with the rest of us dual-supporter idiots... And to ask, you never found the 20gb on bestbuy.com? It was your thread asking about them that finally got me to break down and get one.

I think you'd be VERY lucky to ever find a 20gig model. I think they've officially ceased production of that model.

I have that coming via netflix. Never been a huge Bond fan, but I enjoy them. I doubt it will be something I want to watch over and over.

Exactly. I don't even think about the format war most of the time except when I have to choose a non-combo BD over a HD-DVD combo, or I have to fear a glitchy Universal combo.

saw on a CES 2007 special on HDNet that Samsung will release a dual combo player later in the year.

That's the one I'll be buying. I can wait...and I only have space for one player.

Well, it's about DAMN time!!! &

(Isn't it B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L???)

I polish mine with that spray on/wipe off Turtle wax stuff (using on of them yellow micro-fiber towels that takes off ALL the fingerprints & smudges and what have you that I bought at Costco) and it SHINES SO SWEET!!!

When you get the PS3, definitely download the MotorStorm demo from the Playstation Store. You'll get a lot of mileage out of the demo regardless of whether you buy the game or not.

OH MAN, DAVE!!!

I am SO EXCITED for you I could POP!!!

It's really quite beautiful & the chrome doo-dahs look nice too.

But like a black car, it shows EVERYTHING from dust to you name it, and that's why I like to keep mine covered with one of those outta-sight (possibly created with technology found at Area 51) yellow micro-fiber towels!

I can't wait for you to post and tell us what ya think about yours!

Got it, but my receiver does not have hdmi inputs, so I ordered a new one of those so that I didn't have to listen to a movie in (((STEREO))))

So now I'll wait for it to come.
