Quick question about xbox 360 HD Dvd Add on

Hey all. I was considering getting an Xbox 360 HD DVD add on (no, don't post I should get a blu ray instead, I don't want to spend that much money!!) but I only have a 32" Samsung LN-S3241D LCD TV . Would I really be able to notice the difference in video quality? Or would I need to get a larger plasma/LCD to get the full effect? Just curious, because I know eventually I'm going to get alarger HDTV but right now it's not in thebudget and I really want to test out HD.

on a set that size you will see a difference but probably not much of a difference.

how far do you sit from the tv?

some sam's clubs have the add-on for under $150 right now...seems to be regional though.

I use my 360 on an Aquos 26", but I sit right in front of it (it is also my computer monitor). The difference is substantial if you sit up close, but diminishes the further back you go.

I definitely see a difference on my 32 inch HDTV.

absolutely. it is an amazing upscaling dvd player [1080P!!!] as well. I would definitely recommend the purchase.

But the 360 itself also does the same upscaling from it's drive. There have also been complaints about regular DVD playback from either drive.

what are you specifically referring to? I can't think of any problems off the top of my head. I use the hd dvd player only. as I would rather wear down that drive than a 400 dollar console.
