HDDb - High Definition Database
Mods - Please let me know if I am breaking rules posting this here.
HDDb.net, a High Definition Database that tracks online reviews for both HD DVD and Blu-ray, has just been launched. This site uses RSS feeds from HD review websites, and compiles all of the reviews on one site. You can see which site publishes each reviews first and even sort by popularity of reviews. The site is updated every two hours, so it is alway current and growing. HDDb RSS feeds allow you to have access to a compiled list of all HD/BD reviews online through a single feed - rather than having to subscribe to each review sites individual feeds. Nine leading review sites are currently in the Db (Including DVDTalk), and more are being added soon. This site is truly the ultimate HD DVD & Blu-ray review resource, one worth visiting on a daily basis. Enjoy! |
Thats cool. I keep a list of all my HD discs on Excel so maybe I'll link the titles to this site.

Nice site. Thanks
|
Any plans to make it a bit more like Rotten Tomatoes or MetaCritic and give us a summarized overview of the reviews (instead of just the links)?
Nice site. |

cool site, thanks for the link!

Jeremy, when browsing HD DVD by title, a letter index at the top would be very helpful, instead of a number index at the bottom. Thanks.

Jeremy, thanks for adding DVDTalk's review to the index. However, when using the "Browse by Site" option, it shows only 52 reviews from here. We have a lot more than that available.

HDDb only pulls in the titles in the RSS feeds, and since the DVDTalk feeds only have the most current 25 titles reviewed, that is all we got. Any chance to tweak the feeds (even for a short period) to include ALL HD and BD reviews on the site? If so, then we can populate HDDb with all of your reviews. Please let me know if this is possible. Thanks, --J |
Great resource! HDDb is going to make my future review searching so much easier. Thanks Jeremy!

Perfect... thanks. We will get these loaded either tonight or tomorrow.
Thanks again. --J |
Josh & Adam, all DVDTalk reviews have now been added. Thanks.
|
Great site. Lots of info!
|
FYI - New reviews have been added to the Db for Closer BD, The Game HD, Smokin' Aces HD & The Jerk HD.
All can be found here: http://www.hddb.net/ Enjoy! |
More BIG HD/BD reviews have now been included over at HDDb...
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl: http://www.hddb.net/reviews/1303 Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest: http://www.hddb.net/reviews/1304 The Ultimate Matrix Collection: http://www.hddb.net/reviews/1300 Enjoy! |
Does this have entries for every released disc or just those that have reviews?
|
Just the ones with reviews, but they really need to remove DigitalAudioVideo from their listings. What an absolute waste of a site, and their 'reviews' are so generic and undetailed that I question whether or not they actually have the discs they're claiming to review.

lol... that's an awesome review. Made my head hurt a bit.
Isn't this a 5-disc set? Aren't there piles of extras? I haven't even SEEN the last two films in the series, nor have I seen the HD DVD, and I could have written that review. First film is a big hit, last two suck. Looks good sounds good. Done. |
