Why is Superman Returns for HD bolded?

I can't say for sure, but I seem to remember less prominent titles that had been around a lot longer ranking in the top 10 while Superman Returns was nowhere to be found. There was a lot of speculation about why it wasn't charting, and maybe that bolded title is supposed to mean "...and here it is!"

I've been shocked it wasn't in the top ten every week, but all of a sudden there it is. Must have been some new HD DVD owners added that week.

I wish we could see actual numbers, because I feel like after the top two spots, everything else is rather arbitrary. #9 probably sold three more copies than #10, etc.

One site listed that The Departed sold 20,000 copies on Blu-ray its first week. You can bet this weeks titles are all below that. I'm betting most of those are sales of a few hundered. I'm betting Sony lets us know exactly how many copies Casino Royale sells.

I am expecting Sony's "We sold 25,000 copies of Casino Royale, the format war is over" press release any day now.

That was High Def Digest. It said that Departed sold 20,000 BD copies its first week vs. 13,000 HD-DVD copies. The site also just reported that Casino Royale cracked Amazon's top 10...the first high def disc to do so...

Just an FYI, HighDefDigest merely collects and summarizes news stories from other sources. They don't have any reporters or researchers of their own on staff. Sales stats usually come from Video Business.
