Blood Diamond on HD-DVD/ Blu-Ray???

I had forgotten that this movie is supposed to come out on DVD in a week and a half, and I had figured it was gonna be out on HD/Blu-Ray (at least according to the CES annoucements). I don't see it listed anywhere, though. Was it ever announced or did it get delayed?

This movie will look awesome in high def, and Warner has been pretty good about putting a lot of their major releases day and date. Figured it'd be the same with Blood Diamond.

I don't think it was ever announced for either HD format. Maybe Warners is saving this one for a later date or they aren't finished with possible interactive features.

It's meant to be released March 20. I've seen it on a few sites.

It was listed on the HD-DVD Promotion Group PDF that was released a little while back, but no date was listed.

The possibility of this being announced for release in 11 days now is almost zero.

It's up here, which leads me to believe it was announced at some stage but the lack of cover art shows it has probably been shelved for at least the near future.

In the bargains section, it's listed (HD DVD and Blu-Ray) as being in the ad for Circuit City and Target day and date with the SD version... that's awesome!

BUT, it seems that everyone is confused as there's no listing for it on the CC website...

Yep, Best Buy also had the HD-DVD of The Black Dahlia in their flyer for that weekend, but was never released and was never up for preorder on websites. Looks like the same for Blood Diamond if this circular stuff is true. If I see an announcement at hidefdigest and it shows up for preorder on Amazon with a date then I'll look forward to it. Till then I'm not holding my breath.

Dropped the ball big time! A great movie that I'd buy on HD in a heartbeat...but if it doesn't come out soon, I probably will just skip it altogether.

I had seen it posted on the Bestbuy canada site with a March 20 release but it's gone now. Futureshop still has it listed March 20th but clicking the link gives an error saying it can't be found.

It's #1 on my buying list, it sucks that it won't be released anytime soon.

Thanks for pointing that out, Carl.

Off topic but why have a single thread for every bit of release info. All new titles should have their own thread.

Saw this last night on HD DVD. Pretty good movie and an amazing presentation. The TruHD track rocks on this one.
