Free NIN Beside You in Time HD DVD Sampler @ Best Buy

Forgive me if this has been covered, I searched.

I was at Best Buy today and I noticed they had a stack of Nine Inch Nails: Beside you in Time HD DVD sampler discs near the HD DVDs and Blu-Rays at one of those employee computer things. They didn't have the dvd that I went there to purchase, but I grabbed one of the NIN discs anyway just to see what it would ring up as. Sure enough, it rang up for $0.00. I asked if I needed to purchase something, but the cashier said no. He even printed me a receipt for the $0.00 so I wouldn't get hasseled on my way out.

I suppose its YMMV as to whether or not you have to purchase another item to get it. Here's a pic:

Cool. I heard these were free but never saw them and didn't know what kind of case they came in. Will swing by tomorrow and try and get one.

They also have Blu-Ray samplers. I didn't know that when I was there. I just happened to pick up the HD-DVD version.

I checked two stores, but no samplers around here. Tempted to buy it for $16.99.

I picked one up at my local BB (the HD-DVD). It has TrueHD as well as DD+ and stereo (although stereo displayed as DD+ on my player). Don't know if this is a problem on all discs and I didn't bother checking it out, but my sound dropped out at the beginning of The Hand That Feeds. Restarting the track/switching the audio fixed it.

Also, they were located in the HD-DVD section.

I found the BD version at my Best Buy today, but would prefer the HD-DVD. If anyone has an extra to trade, let me know.

At the two stores I've seen it at, they were mixed in with the NIN CDs.

I work at Best Buy and we were instructed by corporate to put them with the PS3 and Xbox 360 games respectively. They are SUPPOSED to be free with the purchase of a game for each respective system, but they do ring up a penny otherwise. Oh well, not the first time store managers never listened to corporate.
