5 Free titles and an upcoming big price drop?! Thanks for adivising me to buy last week, digi. Hopefully the drop will happen within the next 20 days or so, so I can get Amazon to price match. Categories D and E don't have anything I need to have on HD DVD anyway, so it's alright.

It looks like the HD DVD camp is actually doing something right. A very tempting deal in all directions.

Well, I am only missing 6 movies from all the choices combined. I am missing one from each category except the last one where I am missing 2 titles. Not sure if those titles are enough to convince me to upgrade my A1 to an XA2.

If you already have almost all of the titles offered, then you're most likely not the target audience for this promotion

I either own most of those titles or don't want the rest. But I can always sell them on eBay and probably pocket at least 60-75 bucks in the process. So that means I'll end up paying $425-440 for the A20 and I'll also get an additional 2 free HD-DVDs through the Value Electronics promotion.

It's tough to say no to that deal.

Well, I'm sure Toshiba is eyeing people who don't own any HD DVD player by using this promotion.

Still waiting Robert to reply to me, hopefully, telling me the same thing as I just bought the HD-XA2 on Monday.

WOW!!! So I go to Best Buy, and can get 4 free HD-DVD's from their list in the site, then I can e-mail the form and get another 5(one from each section).

So I literally could spend $499 for a player, and get the following:

1) Apollo 13
2) Casablanca
3) Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
4) Blazing Saddles
5) The Perfect Storm
6) Babel
7) Fearless
8) The Last Samurai
9) Cinderella Man

Being that I couldn't get the XA2 from BB, I had to settle for 7 free HD-DVDs!

Bought the player from valueelectronics.com

They processed and shipped it already and tracking # says due for delivery tomorrow. Wow! Impressed w/ VE.
