Okay, I've searched to death with no luck! Where to buy a PS3?

Is there a thread that addresses this? I've looked all over the forums and couldn't find one if there is.

I suppose this thread could be used for anyone wanting one, but as far as I'm concerned, I've searched stores, and online, and try as I can, I just can't find one in my area. I want one in my area because if something goes wrong with it, I wanna return it to a B&M get another one rather than waiting for a replacement 'someday' through the mail or what have you.

Where can I walk-in and pick-up a 60 gig model in Los Angeles?

Talk about a pain in the butt!

What's the SECRET to finding one???

I saw one in the Culver City Blockbuster on Venice on Saturday. Maybe it's still there.

Best Buy, Walmart, and EB Games have them here in Boise pretty constantly. Circuit City is the only one that always is sold out, but I've never asked to verify that.

I'm not sure about LA's best buy's, but I work at the Oxnard store about 45 minutes away from Hollywood and we have about 20 we can't seem to get rid of.

I'm convinced that my local Circuit City doesn't even sell them, despite having one on display. Every Target, Best Buy, and Wal-Mart in the area has had a dozen of these things every day since Dec 26th, and I have yet to see ONE at CC.

At least it will be much easier since you want the 60GB version.

The 20GB is what's apparently much harder to find. When I saw one of them last month I jumped on it.

Target around here usually has them. Just saw them in Costco on Saturday, bundled with a game and an extra controller.

The local Wal-Mart here has a few 60 gig versions in stock. I haven't seen the 20 gig version since I bought mine there a couple months ago.

Why do you want the 60 gig version?

Oh, I don't know, bigger number = more manly?

Actually, I thought I might as well get the big one just in case I want to use something it has that the 20 doesn't?

BTW: Does the 60 have something that the 20 doesn't (Besides more gigs)? I haven't read much of the PS3 hub-hub. Besides, I'm dropping all those hundreds, what's a hundred more?

The only differences are the hard drive, built-in wireless, memory card readers and the chrome trim. Note that you can put any 2.5" hard drive in that you want (instructions included).

Thanks matome (for the info), but the WIFE just said, "For a hundred dollars more, Get the 60!".

The FOOT has spoken!

(Hey! That's one of the only times I've actually, willingly, listened to her and it didn't give me a headache! )

I've got a 60 as well, but if you are using it as a movie player only, the only reason to get the 60 over the 20 would be the updates via wireless.
