Hd-DVD player problem..please help

HEy, sorry if this has been asked before. I just bought a Toshiba Hd-A2 player today. I've hooked it up to a RCA D52W20 rear projection 52" tv. The problem is, the sides of the picture are being drastically chopped off. I first noticed it when I entered the setup menu . The word 'setup' which is slightly to the side has been chopped in half. From the pic inside the book I should be able to completely see the word 'setup' and have lots of extra room to spare. The player is set for 16X9 and changing the settings really doesn't seem to make a difference. I'm connected using a hdmi - Dvi cable as my tv only has an hdmi input. Any ideas?

You need to make sure your screen is not set to some type of "zoom" feature in you TV menu.

Your TV probably needs to be set on "full" or "normal."

nope..it's none of those two..zoom doesn't function on the dvi screen and neither does the screen sizing...
