I hate combo discs, for the sole reason that they're easy to smudge and scratch. And if I watch an SD DVD it's on the portable player, and there's no way the HD DVDs (both formats) are leaving the house. I like my label on one side and the movie on the other.

But Warner releases in both formats, so there wouldn't be any titles on a TotalHD disc that won't be available on both formats anyway. It's not like Warner is suddenly going to start releasing Universal and Sony movies on T-HD.

Yeah, I just think there was more to this than just a retailer shelving problem. All we can do is wait, and play Russian Roulette with our HD formats.

After careful consideration I believe that the virtual death of TotalHD points toward Warner going HD DVD exclusive in the near future.

I think it certainly points to them picking a side, but what makes you so certain it will be HD DVD?

I agree. I think that they will choose one over the other (and I have been hearing Blu-ray), but there really is no way to know which format until (and if) it happens.
