New member: is HD DVD worth it?
 

i have a 37 inch hd tv
i am plaining to buy

a hd dvd player
are they worth the money
and are they true hd qualty

Just for the sake of housekeeping, I'd like to avoid similar threads being created again, but my answer would be:

1) To me, yes, the quality is worth the upgrade.
2) As to whether or not it's worth the money, I'd say it depends on how much of a home theater nut you are and how many of the movies out now you're really eager to own. I personally find HD DVD worth the expense, but I don't think most people would.
