Absolutely worth it!
I started off with Serenity (still in transit, grr), Batman Begins, and Corpse Bride...$54 total, shipped 2-day (Prime).

I've pre-ordered the HD-DVD version of Digital Video Essentials, and I'm gearing up to score at least 3 or 4 other movies in the coming week.

So far The Thing, Aeon Flux, Dune (pending a few positive reviews), and Superman Returns are in my sights =)

I got in on this the other day... seems like a solid deal as long as they don't start raising their HD-DVD prices ;)
