How soon before Star Wars Originals are in HD?

I'll wait for the HD versions as long as possible cuz I hate triple dipping LOL.

Ugh.

Make this a sticky.

NO TIME SOON.

A long time from now, with a release date far, far away...

Years.

There were 78 million DVD players out there when he finally relented and put them out on standard DVD. There's probably 1/1000th of that figure out there currently for HD players. It'll be a long, long wait.

And, since you're talking about double- and triple-dipping, I assume you are referencing the releases that are coming out today (9/12). The only difference in these new editions is the addition of the non-anamorphic OT sourced from laserdisc masters. If you're waiting for *that* to be available in HD, you may be in for a much longer delay (possibly forever).

Actually, those may come out. Think about it: many bonus features on the new formats are standard definition anyway, and since the OOT is merely a "bonus feature" on the new DVDs, they could just include them on the HD versions. :)

Too late.

I would suggest that the mods will close this thread. Otherwise we get a 'when will LOTR be released on HD, when will <x> be released, etc'.

Yeah, that sounds like a plan to me.
