Will HD/SDVD releases eliminate SD double dips?
I looked at the special features between Superman Returns HD and SD. There are some differences. Do you all think that studios will now make HD full of more bonus features, thus eliminating the reason to make double dips of SD?? Or are they still money hungry?

I tend to think of the studios as idiots on this topic, rather than money-grubbers; either way, it won't change. And I don't think giving them more choices as to release method will create fewer discs.

It's a certainty that double and triple dips are here to stay. I would venture that even quadruple dips are possible because it took a long time before a double dip was even done. Now that they know people are willing to buy them, you will see them do this on an increasing basis. I will go out on a limb and say that every B or A title will get double dipped.

Hell no. LOTR and the Chronicles of Narnia are getting new versions. Besides, adding bonus features isn't always the reason for another dip. Sometimes they improve the transfer, recut the film, and/or add audio features (like the mono soundtrack for Jaws).
