Could it be the first combo that's dual layered on both sides?

He also might be talking about a Paramount hd-dvd first....like IME or HD exclusive content.

Or, I could dream and say it's Sunset Boulevard, which would be the first Academy ratio film on HD-DVD.

HD DVD first...hmm...multi-disc set of, say, The Godfather films??

No, I don't believe it will happen so soon. I like to dream, though.

I knew I would whet people's appetites.

The first that everyone is talking about is most likely the MI boxset coming near the launch.

If they released the first MI by itself, I'd probably pick that up. No interest in the other two.

Well, that would probably be of interest to many and good for the format in general... but (and this is becoming a running theme), it isn't something that I have any interest in buying.

Sunset Boulevard, I'd buy in a heartbeat though.

I though the reason why there are few HD-DVDs coming out until November was that the Studios consider the roll out of HD-DVD currently as a soft launch. Then come 4th quarter they go full steam ahead.

Another reason is the holiday season. Summer usually is a lull period for many home entertainment releases including video games and DVDs.

so since this blows bigger than any other news we've gotten lately, can you at least tell us what the 10 titles are?

Nacho Libre is probably another one. I think it's on the look and sound site.

Based on the trailer in front of their discs, I'd guess that Team America (hopefully Uncut) and A Series of Unfortunate Events are both a given.

I thought I had saw Nacho Libre on the site, but I don't see it now. Braveheart is still on there. I really hope that one is out this year.

Yeah, I really wish that was a launch title. I don't know if Paramount will release that in the current climate. Who knows, maybe this all blows over in a few weeks...

I honestly dont think it would affect sales of that movie. It transcends the stuff he has done recently. Also, most people purchasing it would be early adopters, so I bet it wont make a big difference.

Oh, I agree. I personally don't think that his DUI/comments will have any impact on sales, especially of previous films. For most people, if they like the movie, they'll buy it; if they don't, they won't.

But I wonder if the studios (in this case, Paramount) will shy away from putting out his stuff for the next few months at least. You have to think they're at least considering a delay.
