HD-DVD drive for PCs?

Have the manufacturers announced HD-DVD drives for PCs? And when?

Greetings from Germany

Sony is including HD-DVD drives in their machines, I think not!?

I think you mean they have Blu-Ray drives. Big difference. ;)

To play the movies, yes. You'll need HDMI-HDCP for that (monitor and video card).

I think the (initial) point of these drives is RW, as I recall reading the HD-DVD drive did HD-DVD-RW.

If Sony doesn't include the capability of playing a BD movie on their BD-capable laptop screen, they are idiots.

None of this stuff is out yet. Sony's announcement was for the next wave of computers either late this year or in 2007. I'm sure they will have capable graphics cards by the time they put the drives in a PC. At least Sony and Tosh should since each is their respective baby. Dell...who knows or cares?
