The forums have logged me out twice today... the "remember me" box is missing too.

What platform/browser(s)?

Slightly off topic, this forum is the best (worst?) for keeping me signed in. I think I’ve only had to sign into dvdtalk once, back in 1999.

Have you cleared your cache/history for any reason?

I don't even remember my PW to this site...

Windows/Chrome

I didn't get logged out again after I posted this. I manually logged out and back in to see if the remember me box was back (it wasn't). Strange.

Hi Todd,

Did you recently clear cache/cookies or do you browse via Incognito or other private browser?

Re: Logged Out

Nope. I just changed my password yesterday. When I logged back in I noticed the box was gone. I came back to the site on multiple occasions throughout the day and each time I had to log back in.
This is my first visit this morning and I did not have to log in though. I made no changes since my previous post.
If it helps I’m on safari, but not the mobile site. Seems like it could be sorted out.

Re: Logged Out

The "Remember Me" button has been removed, so it won't be showing up in the future.

Re: Logged Out

Can you clarify it being removed? Does that mean it is expected behaviour that you will be logged out, and need to log in every time you visit the forum?

Or should the default behaviour be that you are 'remembered?'

I ask because I've had to log in twice, today. Normally I stay logged in without issue.

This is on Chrome.

I'm on Chrome and I've never had to log back in.

I hadn't either, until yesterday.

So far, so good, today.

The opposite should be happening. With regular browser behavior, you should only need to log out (if you want to log out). Note that this is cache-based, so if your browser clears cache upon leaving/closing, you use Incognito/private browsing, or switch devices, you'll have to log in again.

Re: Logged Out

I'm puzzled why it happened, as none of the above situations apply.

Regardless, it hasn't happened since then, so hopefully it was a one-off.

I needed to clear my cache/cookies recently and now I'm having to log in every single time. In fact, I had to reset my password since I hadn't logged in for several years and multiple guesses proved to be incorrect.

With the "remember me" option gone as was mentioned in this thread, how can I fix this?

Thanks for the reply. Guess I did that, perhaps inadvertently, since I've had no issues since my post.
