Random Asterisks in Posts?

So I made a post in the best candy bar thread in Otter and for some reason the post keeps inserting random asterisks. At first I thought I just fat fingered them in somehow, but it’s multiple of them, and I went to edit the post to delete them and they’re still there. I even made an edit message on my post asking if it’s happening to others and more asterisks appeared. I’m using Safari on my iPhone.

I actually like both the jalapeño and coconut. I*prefer the coconut but the jalapeño ones actually aren’t bad. Like*I say I barely taste the heat from the jalapeño ones. Its*there but just barely.

edit: is anyone else seeing random asterisks in their posts? I*tried deleting*the ones in my above post thinking I typo’d, but they keep coming back.
Yeah, I’m getting them. I’m using an iPad with Safari.

Looks they’re popping up near capital “I”s.

Also wonder if it’s possible the “ñ” in jalapeño might be the culprit.

When I edit your post in Chrome on my iPhone, the asterisks return even after being removed.

They stay gone when I edit the post on my Windows PC.

Is this still occurring? It seems like it could be an Apple error.

It seemed to only be the one post. Might have jumped the gun with posting but wasn’t sure if it would be a bigger issue.
