Just cut and paste this image into the URL. No issues. So weird that you're having issues.

For those having problems, what DVD Talk editor are you using and what is a sample URL that you are trying to get posted that won't?

Coincidence, although we're working on it. Let me actually check the "Posts to New thread" setting, I didn't think of that. It may have been inadvertently changed somehow.

This is definitely what it is. These new threads are from members with only 1 post. There doesn't appear to be any post requirement to start threads anymore.

Re: Jan. 3rd 2019 Upgrade Master Thread
I know that we complain a lot and there is still more to do, but I have to say that this software update has gone remarkably well. My PC and tablet have not crashed at all, and I no longer see the hijack ads that used to happen just about every few weeks. We tend to take things for granted and expect things to just "work," but I know that a lot of work must have happened before and during this migration to make things go so smoothly. You probably don't hear this a lot, but thank you. I think the site is a lot better now than before the change.
P.S. We are doing a software change at my work. A lot different and maybe more complicated, but it's been a real struggle with many crashes, so I am painfully aware of the difficulty of avoiding them.

Following up. Could we re-instate the post requirement before being able to start threads? More spam from 1 post members today.

^Can you add the 'Like' button functionality, if only so I can like your post?

Is it really better protection against spam to make them need 30 posts or whatever before they can post their spam links though? When we had the limit, we would just get a ton of old thread bumps with random comments before they could post their link. If you just let them post the link you can just ban them right away.

Seems like the misplaced wikis have been respawning. Several threads seem to be getting the same wiki. I’ve been deleted some daily it seems.

The Basic Editor box almost fills the entire screen. Which makes is so easy to type or copy and paste articles.

The Standard Editor box which shows the advanced controls like linking, coloring, size etc the box is so small. You can only expand it vertically.

I'm using Firefox 65.0.1 (64 bit)
For the past week or so, I've been seeing an error message that says "A web page is slowing down your browser. What would you like to do?" It's a yellow bar at the top of my browser with buttons to "Wait" or "Stop It".
It only happens on the DVDTalk forum. And it happens when I'm loading a new page. Like when I go forward/back or submit a post. It doesn't happen all the time, just every once in a while. And sometimes it goes away on it's own, other times I have to close the tab.

That's because only the Full CKEditor is optimized for the site. I don't see this being fixed anytime soon.
