It's a work-in-progress, but basically, if people can't behave in this subforum, they'll continue to have access to the rest of DVD Talk but won't be able to participate in Religion/Politics anymore.

That’s not a bad idea. The same 5 or 7 people make the place almost unreadable. And everyone who engages leaves the conversation tedious and very easy to click away from.
Same thing happened in the movie forum over the years. But after a few months those people were banned and then it goes back to being good discussion. Remember the guy who was obsessed with saying bad things about Christophor Nolan? That’s kind of what’s happening in the political forum. |

Rather than complain in advance before even seeing upcoming policy changes, why not stay out of the way and let the admins and mods do their work?
And if the policy changes involve fair application of fair rules, who would possibly object to that? |
