I've already abandoned this site on mobile. Now it looks like I may have to abandon it altogether. I can barely type in this window because the amount of adware garbage being constantly downloaded to my browser visibly slows down my newer MacBook Pro. Every time I visit the site now I get a "this webpage is using significant memory" warning.

Here's all the junk being loaded for a new reply page. I stopped capturing traffic once it closed in on 1500 requests and 35 MB for a single page.

It’s not something on your end, is it?

Almost looks like you might have some adware on your system or something. If I was loading 35MB a page in crap, I’d notice it slowing me down.

Also, have you tried an adblocker or a private browsing window?

Yes. I use Safari on Mac with an ad blocker. This is the only site that has the issue. I did notice it slowing the page down, which is why I checked.

I also just want to point out that this doesn't occur consistently for me. Sometimes a page loads "fine" (fine being 2.5 MB of adware), other times it goes nuts.

At times, I've noticed significant delays, as well.

When I came to the forum, today, I noticed a page, briefly, that read something like "Checking your browser" but it disappeared and went to the site before I could read any more. Not sure what that was about, either.

I run ublock origin, so I don't see ads, but something seems to be slowing things down.

Actually, I just clicked 'go advanced' midway through typing this post and saw the screen again. Something about Cloudfare and DDoS attacks.

Since adware is a danger online and to your health I suggest strapping on a couple of condoms:

-UBlock Origin

Brave (Mobile)
-Set all options to block

No worries about going raw anymore
