Several ads today appear to be running cryptocurrency miners or something that caused my CPU cores to spike really huge.

Not to jinx myself, but I haven't had any of these redirects on my phone in quite awhile now.

(iPhone w/ Chrome)

Happened again today until the Chrome tab ran out of memory and crashed.

Later yesterday, we put a 3rd party blocker on all sites in our division and it should stop redirect completely. As for high-memory regular ads, we are currently working on those.

Again, on 4 different tabs today. It was causing CPU usage to max out about 6 cores. And each tab was using over 3GB of RAM before they crashed.

I was able to use Chrome Task Manager to identify one of the offending tabs (the other 3 had crashed already). I took a screenshot. As you can see, the ads didn't even load properly in the tab. They're just sucking down CPU and RAM.

I'm now experiencing videos that won't allow me to scroll past them. I scroll down and it snaps back up to them. Chrome on Android.

The thread title only refers to mobile options, but for the last few days the site has been redirecting my browser to one of those "you have a virus" pages that have audio and will not let you close them.

Thanks guys, I'll report all these ads to our team. The cryptocurrency ones are particularly disturbing. Bang, thanks for the screenshot. b2net and mickey, can you post some of what you're seeing? b2net, I know it's hard to showthat you can't scroll past something, since that requires video, but maybe if it's disturbing text/content? Are you both browsing in the US/through US IPs?

So far I haven't noticed if it is disturbing content as I don't watch it as I am trying to scroll past it. Browsing in the US using either Verizon's network or on my employer's local WiFi (when there is too much congestion on Verizon's network). I am 98%+ on Verizon's network.

I was ads-redirected several times last year November. I took some time out hoping this annoying issue got fixed. So far so good.

Gah! It was a good three months. I've spoken to our ads manager, and while we can't stop these completely, it shouldn't be a recurring problem, as it was.

It has only happened to me twice in 3 months. When it happened this second time, I figured I'd post just in case there is a way these are sneaking in again.

Could you post a screenshot? About how often would you say you're getting them?

Getting this crap regularly today. Super annoying. Even clicking Cancel redirects to the shitty website.
Is it because I made fun of the anti-Handbrake ad?

Hi Dan, definitely shouldn't be happening since we installed some 3rd-party redirect-blocking software, but unfortunately some can slip through. I will alert tech/ads.
