I just read about a potential solution that we might be able to try until IB does something about their ad partner. This is for people like me that use the Chrome mobile browser. Open a new tab and type this into the address bar:
chrome://flags/#enable-framebusting-needs-sameorigin-or-usergesture

Then, look for "Framebusting requries same-origin or a user gesture" and change the status from "default" to "enabled."

Finally, restart your browser.

Since doing this, I've found that the ads still pop up but they don't hijack your tab. Instead, the ad opens a new tab (or two or three!) which you can close and continue on the site.

I hope this solution works for everyone, it comes from what appears to be a reliable source.

I do wish it wasn't necessary and I also wish we'd see some response in this thread from IB about this issue. May we please have an update on where we are with you and your ad partner? This truly has to stop.
