Can't make 2 posts in a row?

So, all of a sudden i can't make 2 posts back to back. i have to wait for 60 seconds between posts. when did this come about??

It's a measure to discourage spammers.

If you're posting multiple times in quick succession in the same thread, just combine your responses into a single post. The multi-quote feature will help with this.

it's not a big deal. it was 2 different threads actually...

I thought there was always a delay when creating multiple posts to begin a thread, but it was much shorter. If I'm correct, I'm assuming it's been increased after the huge attack we endured last week.

Can the setting be different for new users versus regulars? That could help against spammers.

It's a global setting for the whole site. Curse you VB Bulletin! We'll have to see how the new user mod queue works. We could go back to 10 if we manage the new user queue well.

Yes, this would be helpful, especially when reserving spots for the movie challenges.

This is what I was thinking about too, and some sports stuff. I guess for now we'll have to just ask others not to post until we're done.
