I have emailed a mod, but with no response, so I will post here.

A few years back I suggested that there be a eBay/Amazon Marketplace/half.com thread in which members could post deals that other members would be interested in. At the time, it seemed some members and mods thought it would be open to abuse. It seemed to be an over reaction to what could be really beneficial to alot of people. eBay has some really great deals from established sellers. There is alot of clearance stuff out there, esp. now.

Blu-ray.com has such a thread and it is very beneficial to the community. I have gotten some great deals there and I don't see any abuse in it.

I wanted to see if the consensus now would allow such a thread.

bluray.com has a ebay deals thread in their bargain forum that is quite helpful.

Right now there is a need for another mod in order to take on a project like this. We've contacted a few people, but they were not interested in taking on this task. That's basically were we are at this point. If we can get another moderator, I think we can make this happen.
